Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God (literal, God-breathed), inerrant, verbally inspired and infallible in its original state, and divinely preserved in reliability throughout the ages in all essential doctrines, declarations, quotations, and intentions.

The canon is comprised of the traditional 66 books of the Bible, and we are to neither add to them nor subtract from them. We affirm that in all things, the Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and proper conduct, and it is the final source of all that we believe.

We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, Who is eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death to pay the penalty for sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation at God’s right hand, and His personal return.

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in hell.

We believe that believers are called to a life of separation from worldly and sinful practices; that believers should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others; that their conduct should be blameless before the world; and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.

Statement on Sexuality and Marriage

We affirm that God ordains marriage as only between one man and one woman (with gender set forth by God at conception), and all sexual activity by anyone outside of this biblical definition of marriage contradicts God’s Word and His intention for the institution of the home. I affirm that my relationship goals and practices are and will be in accord with these beliefs.

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female for their good and His glory. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God, and the rejection of one’s biological gender is a rejection of God’s decreed will and good plan for both humanity and the individual.
